Andhra Style chicken Masala Curry Ingredients:
- 500 gms chicken,cut in medium size pieces.
- 3 Onions finely chopped.
- 3 to 4 chopped green chilies.
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger.
- 2 teaspoon coriander powder.
- 2 bay leaves.
- 1 inch long cinnamon stick.
- 3 to 4 cardamom.
- 2 teaspoon garlic paste.
- 3 teaspoon red chili powder.
- 2 teaspoon turmeric powder.
- 2 teaspoon cumin powder.
- garam masala powder.
- curry leaves.
- oil for frying.
- salt to taste.
Andhra Style chicken Masala Curry Marination Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoon red chili powder.
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder.
- 1 cup thick curd.
Andhra Style chicken Masala Curry Preparation:
- Make a masala(spice) paste out of the grated ginger,coriander powder,cinnamon,garlic paste,red chili powder,cumin powder.
- wash the chicken and marinate it with red chili powder,turmeric powder,thick curd and keep aside for at least 1 hour.
Andhra Style chicken Masala Curry Method:
Andhra Chicken
- Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaves,curry leaves in it and fry for 1 minute,now add the finely chopped onion and green and saute till the onion becomes soft.
- Add the marinated chicken to the onions and keep frying in medium heat till the chicken starts leaving oil.
- Now add the masala mixture and mix well.Add a cup water and place a lid.Cook for another 20 minutes in low to medium heat.
- Remove the lid and add garam masala to it.Cook till you get your desired curry consistency.
- Serve with rice or roti.
