Aloo Palak(Potato in spinach) Recipe
Aloo Palak(Potato in spinach) Recipe:
Aloo Palak(Potato in spinach) Ingredients:
2 cup of spinach.
6 garlic cloves crushed.
3 to 4 green chilies chopped.
3 potatoes peeled and cut in cubes.
1 onion chopped.
2 tomatoes chopped.
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder.
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder.
oil for frying.
salt to taste.
Aloo PalakMethod :
Remove the spinach leaves from the steam and wash them carefully.
Fry the potato cubes golden brown and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan and add the garlic cloves in them,fry till they turn golden brown,now add the palak(spinach) leaves and stir fry them.No need to add water,the leaves will cook in their own juice.When the leaves become soft,remove it from the pan.
After the palak(Spinach) cools down add the chopped green chilies and grind them to make a smooth paste,keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onion and tomatoes in it,stir fry till the onions become soft.Add the turmeric and cumin powder and fry it for 1 minute.
Add the palak(spinach) paste and add 1 cup water .let it cook in low heat for 5 minutes.
Now add the fried potatoes ,salt and mix well.
Add milk now and mix well,cook for another 5 minutes in low heat till you get a thick gravy consistency .
