Aloo Paratha Ingredients :
For The Dough :
- whole-wheat flour ............................................ 1 cup
- salt ............................................ to taste.
- Refined oil ............................................. 2 tablespoon
Potato Filling :
- boiled potatoes .................................. 2 medium sized.
- finely chopped Onion .................................. 1 small.
- Coriander leaves .................................. finely chopped.
- green chili .................................. 1, finely chopped.
- coriander leaves ................................... finely chopped.
- amchoor powder .................................. 1/4 teaspoon (optional).
- salt ................................... to taste.
- oil .................................... 2 tablespoon.
Other Ingredients :
- 1/4 cup whole-wheat flour for rolling.
- Oil or ghee to cook.
Method :
Dough Preparation :
- Sieve the flour with the salt.
- Add the refined oil and mix well. Add enough water and make a semi-soft dough,as you would do for any paratha/roti.
- Cover with a damp cloth and keep aside .
Filling Preparation :
- Mash the potatoes.
- finely chopped
- Add mashed potatoes in the pan and fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add salt to taste.
- Now add the amchoor powder and Coriander leaves and cook the mixture.Keep aside the mixture.
Making Paratha :
- Knead the dough Now divide the dough into equal parts and roll into smooth balls.
- Take a dough ball all and flatten it by pressing. Place potato mixture on it and again make it into a ball again.Seal the edges completely so that potato stuffing does not come out.
- Roll out the dough ball again into a circle with the help of a little flour. Now your parathas are ready to be cooked.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and place the paratha on it,cook both sides equally,serve hot with yogurt or pudina chutney.
