Andhra Style chicken Masala Curry

Andhra Style chicken Masala Curry Recipe:

 Andhra Style chicken Masala Curry Ingredients:

  • 500 gms chicken,cut in medium size pieces.
  • 3 Onions finely chopped.
  • 3 to 4 chopped green chilies.
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger.
  • teaspoon coriander powder.
  • 2 bay leaves.
  • 1 inch long cinnamon stick.
  • 3 to 4 cardamom.
  • 2 teaspoon garlic paste.
  • 3 teaspoon red chili powder.
  • 2 teaspoon turmeric powder.
  • 2 teaspoon cumin powder.
  • garam masala powder.
  • curry leaves.
  • oil for frying.
  • salt to taste.

Andhra Style chicken Masala Curry Marination Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoon red chili powder.
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder.
  • 1 cup thick curd.

Andhra Style chicken Masala Curry Preparation:

  1. Make a masala(spice) paste out of the grated ginger,coriander powder,cinnamon,garlic paste,red chili powder,cumin powder.
  2. wash the chicken and marinate it with red chili powder,turmeric powder,thick curd and keep aside for at least 1 hour.

Andhra Style chicken Masala Curry Method:
Andhra Chicken

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaves,curry leaves in it and fry for 1 minute,now add the finely chopped onion and green and saute till the onion becomes soft.
  2. Add the marinated chicken to the  onions and keep frying in medium heat till the chicken starts leaving oil.
  3. Now add the masala mixture and mix well.Add a cup water and place a lid.Cook for another 20 minutes in low to medium heat.
  4. Remove the lid and add garam masala to it.Cook till you get your desired curry consistency.
  5. Serve with rice or roti.
