Aloo Paratha Recipe


Aloo Paratha Recipe:




Aloo Paratha Ingredients :

For The Dough :
  • whole-wheat flour    ............................................ 1 cup
  • salt                       ............................................ to taste.
  • Refined oil              ............................................. 2 tablespoon
Potato Filling :
  • boiled potatoes          .................................. 2 medium sized.
  • finely chopped Onion  .................................. 1 small.
  • Coriander leaves          .................................. finely chopped.
  • green chili                 .................................. 1, finely chopped.
  • coriander leaves        ................................... finely chopped.
  • amchoor powder        ..................................  1/4 teaspoon (optional). 
  • salt                          ................................... to taste.
  • oil                            .................................... 2 tablespoon.

Other Ingredients :
  • 1/4 cup whole-wheat flour for rolling.
  • Oil or ghee to cook.

Method :

Dough Preparation :
  1. Sieve the flour with the salt.
  2. Add the refined oil and mix well. Add enough water and make a semi-soft dough,as you would do  for any paratha/roti.
  3. Cover with a damp cloth and keep aside .

Filling Preparation :

  1. Mash the potatoes.
  2. finely chopped 
  3. Add mashed potatoes in the pan and fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add salt to taste.
  5. Now add the amchoor powder and Coriander leaves and cook the mixture.Keep aside the mixture.
Making Paratha :
  1. Knead the dough Now divide the dough into equal parts and roll into smooth balls.
  2. Take a dough ball all and flatten it by pressing. Place potato mixture on it and again make it into a ball again.Seal the edges completely so that potato stuffing does not come out. 
  3. Roll out the dough ball again into a circle  with the help of a little flour. Now your parathas are ready to be cooked.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan and place the paratha on it,cook both sides equally,serve hot with yogurt or pudina chutney.
