Vegetable roll recipe

Vegetable roll recipe:

Vegetable rolls are readily available in India in any street food joint,it is easy to make and you can surprise your family by making it at home.The kids will love it.

Vegetable roll Ingredients:

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 1 cup sliced vegetables(carrot,cabbage,capsicum).
  • 1 onion thinly sliced.
  • 2 to 3 green chilies chopped.
  • oil.
  • salt.

Ingredients for the wrap:

  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour(Atta).
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour(Maida).
  • 1 table spoon oil.
  • salt.
  • water for kneading.

Vegetable roll Process:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and stir fry the vegetables till they become soft.Season with salt.Remove from heat and keep aside.
  2. Now we will start with making the dough for the wrap.Sieve the flour with the salt.Add the refined oil and mix well. Add enough water and make a soft but stiff dough.Divide the dough into equal size balls and roll them into small thin circle.
  3. Put a portion of the filling that we prepared in the circle and roll tightly,seal the edges.Follow the same procedure for rest of the rolls.
  4. Heat oil for deep frying and fry the rolls gently one by one.Serve hot with tomato sauce or Pudina(Mint) Chutney.
